Chapter 13-4: Getting Help with Research

Writing > Credible Sources > Help with Research

College Library Database

Your college has a library database that provides you access to high-quality resources for your research. If you don't know where the database is or how to use it, find out. An excellent place to start is at your college's home page or by dropping by the library and speaking to a resource person there.

College Resource People

Did you know that your librarian's "real" job is to help you find the appropriate resources you need for your research and not check-in and out books or put books back on the shelves? Don't be shy. Go and talk to one of the librarians at your college. You'll discover how happy they will be to help you out. It's almost like they'll be doing some of the work for you! Many librarians are now accessible via a "chat" function on your institution's library page.
